What a snag is
A snag is not a task somebody forgot. It is a defect measured against a standard — a chipped tile, a door that swings shut, paint that is the wrong sheen. Knowing the difference changes how you treat it.
Where the standard lives
Standards live in checklist templates, not in anyone’s memory. This is the pre-handover snag list — sockets, paint, doors, marble joints — written down once and reused on every job.
Open one and you see exactly what gets checked, item by item. There is no opinion in it; either the socket works or it does not.
A snag is tracked work
On the board, every snag is its own card, so it is tracked like any other piece of work — assigned, dated, and closed when it is put right.
Crucially, a snag carries a photo. The picture is the evidence: without it, the defect is one person’s word against another’s, and rework orders itself against the wrong wall.
