This is the daily report, and it is the five minutes that settle arguments months later. Tarek files one every day he is on site, and the office actually reads it.
A daily report is short on purpose: how many people were on site, what the weather did, what got done, and what is in the way.
Filing today’s report
Tarek starts today’s report against the Penthouse job.
He begins with the manpower count. Fourteen people on site is a fact you can bill labour against — not a guess.
Then the weather, because rain or heat is the first thing a delay gets blamed on, and a written record stops the excuse.
The notes are where the day lives: what was installed, what was inspected, whether anyone got hurt.
Saving keeps it as a draft he can still change — the day is not over yet.
The record of truth
A report only becomes the record of truth once it is submitted, and a submitted report is locked. Nobody can quietly edit it next week.
Once it is filed, what the site engineer wrote on the ground is exactly what the office and the client read — the studio and Rania see the same reality.
It can be exported as a PDF, dated and signed by the system. That is the document a dispute gets settled with.
